James Aldrete is a political communications consultant who is helping diversify the coalition behind today’s progressive victories. Aldrete served as a member of the Obama Media Team in 2008 and 2012, with a specific focus on Hispanic media and engagement. Aldrete’s firm, known as MAP (short for Message Audience & Presentation, Inc.), has also helped expand awareness and accountability on the issue of immigration reform, working with advocacy groups including FWD.us and SEIU, as well as access to health care and educational opportunities, working with Planned Parenthood Texas Votes and the Texas State Teachers Association. Prior to founding MAP, Aldrete served as Deputy Press Secretary to the Ann Richards for Governor Campaign, and as Creative Director for Gold Communications, an Affiliate of Public Strategies, Inc. Aldrete received his Masters of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Aldrete volunteers his time serving on the Board of Directors for the ACLU of Texas, Texas Freedom Network, El Buen Samaritano, the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life at the University of Texas, and as a member of the Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas Austin Community Board.
Jeanette organized teachers in key legislative districts across Texas — helping make the Texas State Teachers Association not only the largest teachers union in the state, but also the most politically active and effective. A campaign veteran who has worked on both state legislative races as well as for Congressman Lloyd Doggett, Jeanette is involved on all MAP accounts, as well as overseeing project management, campaign plans and production timelines for MAP.

Cant. has worked with a variety of voter file vendors and pollsters across the country, and provides an extra step of quality control for voter file development and database management.
Alejandro has been working in advertising and communications for a decade, first as a Strategic Planner for Lowe & Partners in his native Venezuela and then as a Copywriter for MAP — in that time he has worked for clients that range from French auto-manufacturer Renault, to the Don’t Mess with Texas Campaign, to the Democratic National Committee. He took a two-year break in between to get a Master’s Degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin with a focus on copywriting. As the MAP’s lead copywriter, Alejandro is instrumental in developing branding guidelines for clients and ensuring the integrity of client brands from concept, to copy, to graphic design.
Kevin has been working in progressive advocacy, and issue and political campaign work, for nearly a decade. After earning his Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Washington University in St. Louis, Kevin worked in D.C., where he organized Member’s offices for Progressive Congress and launched a digital campaign against Pentagon spending, before returning home to Texas to manage a campaign for Austin mayor. Kevin oversees project management, campaign plans and production timelines for MAP.
